Q Every year, members of Congress propose several amendments to the U.S. Constitution. Most of these never get a hearing. Some are proposed repeatedly every session, such as doing away with the Electoral college. Take a look at the latest proposals at the Library of Congress website: www.congress.gov (Links to an external site.). Simply type in the search box “constitutional amendments”. After your research, analyze the following debate questions: What are the reasons why the U.S. Constitution has not been amended often? What are the methods for proposing and ratifying amendments?
